What is a Country Question?
When used in a Form action, a Country question displays a box where users can select a country.
When a user starts entering a country into the box, a list of countries looked up from a global Country database is displayed. One or more choices may be selected, depending on the settings. You can also allow multiple countries to be selected (see Setting Up a Country Question).
NOTE: If you need your users to enter an address as part of a workflow, you can use an Address question in a Form action instead. For more information, see Address Questions.
Setting Up a Country Question
To add a Country question to a Form action, select it from the list on the Action Editor. You can then start setting up the Country question. For more information, see Setting Up a Form Action.
To allow users to select more than one country from the list, check the Allow multiple selections? box.
NOTE: When set to allow multiple answers, answers to Country, Dropdown, and Multiple-choice questions in a Form action are saved to a List. For more information, see Data Types in Autto.
Advanced Options
Under a Country question's Advanced options section, you can set up the following:
- Default value: the default Country lookup displayed on the answer box.
- Select countries: This is set to Global, or all countries, by default. To limit the countries that will appear on the list, choose Only selected countries, then select the countries from the list.
- Button name: Form actions are set to be non-scrollable by default, meaning you have to click a button at the bottom of each Question page to go to the next question. The button name is set to Continue by default. You can set a new name for the button here.
- Conditional Questions: Each question type you can use in a Form action can be set to include Conditional Questions, if required. With Conditional questions, a question can be made to appear or disappear, depending on certain conditions. For more information, see Conditional Questions.
