Address Questions

An Address question is one of the question types that can be added to a Form action. This article discusses Address questions in more detail.

What is an Address Question?

When used in a Form action, an Address question displays a box where users can enter their addresses.

When a user starts entering their address into the box, a list of addresses looked up from a global address database is displayed.

They can either select their address, if found, or they can click Enter address manually and proceed to enter their address.

NOTE: If you only need your users to select a Country as part of a workflow, you can use a Country question in a Form action instead. For more information, see Country Questions.

Setting Up an Address Question

To add an Address question to a Form action, select it from the list on the Action Editor. You can then start setting up the Address question. For more information, see Setting Up a Form Action.

When manually entering an Address, several square brackets are created, with the square bracket name you give for the Address question acting as a prefix for these square brackets. You can use these square brackets later on in the workflow, if required.

Advanced Options

Under an Address question's Advanced options section, you can set up the following:

• Default value: the default Address lookup displayed on the answer box.
  
  • This is set to Select from [square_brackets] by default. To use a square bracket for the default value, enter the square bracket name on the box below.
  • You can also set this to Select input, where you can either Select address from the list or Enter address manually.
• Select countries: This is set to Global, or all countries, by default. To limit the countries that will appear on the list, choose Only selected countries, then select the countries from the list.
• Button name: Form actions are set to be non-scrollable by default, meaning you have to click a button at the bottom of each Question page to go to the next question. The button name is set to Continue by default. You can set a new name for the button here.
• Conditional Questions: Each question type you can use in a Form action can be set to include Conditional Questions, if required. With Conditional questions, a question can be made to appear or disappear, depending on certain conditions. For more information, see Conditional Questions.
